ROAMING SOLO – Why Group Trips Are The Best Way To Travel Solo

Updated: Jul 22

Hey thrill-seekers! You might’ve imagined solo travel as doing everything alone—planning, booking, eating, partying… and yeah, maybe even a little puking (we’ve all been there, no shame :p) solo travel used to seem kinda of daunting, right? But times have changed, my friends! Now, Solo travel doesn’t mean flying solo all the time, you can still rock that solo status while soaking up the amazing vibe of a group trip. Talk about the best of both worlds, aren’t we right?

1. Meet like-minded people and become besties

Our group trips provide an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded travellers in their 20s and 30s. Especially for busy working professionals, solo travellers or if you’re single. You’ll get a chance to make best buddies from different places, backgrounds and cultures. Young adults share travel stories, have similar interests and most importantly you’ve made the same decision to see the planet, Brilliant.

2. It’s cost effective

One of the key advantages of group travel is cost-sharing, which makes it particularly affordable for young adults. By pooling resources, the group can obtain discounts on travel, activities, food & drinks (booze included). In a group trip you’ll be eligible for a group discount also you get a special treatment for less cash. Result!

3. Get out of your comfort zone

Sometimes, we just need a little nudge to get us out of our comfort zones. Adventure travel tours are jam-packed with fun (and sometimes crazy) activities that’ll keep you on your toes. One day you’ll be jumping off the boat; the next, rivalling Ramsey in a local cooking class! You may well end up trying something you might not normally do if it’s included in the itinerary. And guess what? You’ll probably love it.

4. Reduce the environmental impact

Travelling in a group is usually more environmentally friendly than travelling by yourself. Think about it, hiring one group vehicle is far more ecological than each of you getting a taxi. Group travel tours will also take advantage of local public transport, which will reduce your carbon footprint massively. Jumping on a plane is never great for our environment, so taking any steps to reduce carbon emissions while we’re travelling is vital for responsible travel.

5. Stay super safe

Sometimes, we just need a little nudge to get us out of our comfort zones. Adventure travel tours are jam- packed with fun (and sometimes crazy) activities that’ll keep you on your toes. One day you’ll be jumping off the boat; the next, rivalling Ramsey in a local cooking class! You may well end up trying something you might not normally do if it’s included in the itinerary. And guess what? You’ll probably love it.

6. Feel flexible – Solo Vibes

Okay, we know what some of you solo travellers are thinking: ‘Organised group tours offer no freedom, I’ll have no time to do my own thing.’ WRONG. A well-organised tour will give you a whole lot of downtime, not to mention all the activities are completely optional. Want a day to recharge in the hotel? That’s fine! Too hungover for a 4-hour trek? Have a lie-in! It’s your trip to build as you please.

So, are you ready to get out there? Join us on our next adventure.
